Last night, 24 students came to the first CCF meeting of the year.

Pennie led an icebreaker game where we all wore sticky notes on our foreheads!

In small groups, we read how Jesus describes Himself, God, and us in  John 15:1-17. If you missed it, here are some of the key ideas:

  • God (the gardener) takes care of us (the branches) through our connection to Jesus (the vine).
  • Jesus commands us to love others.
  • Jesus wants us to obey Him so we can be filled with His joy.

Questions for further thought:

  • How do you love someone who does not want to get along with you?
  • What can you do to obey Jesus in the normal going-to-school, working, practicing parts of your life?
  • How will you choose to let these verses change your life this week?

If we come to CCF and discuss these verses, but do not let God’s Word change our lives, the Bible study is no more than a nice discussion.
