In the last six months I made a major entertainment purchase of an HDTV and promptly entered the digital age.  Wow…what a difference.  The picture is sharp, the sound quality is awesome.  When I’m watching a movie on my new TV, I feel like I am there.

There is this desire in the human heart to experience God in the same way.  We want to see and hear God clearly…God in HD.  The good news is we can.  In reminded about what Paul wrote to Timothy, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

When we study the Bible, individually and/or in a group setting, we see and hear God.  It is through Scripture that God speaks to us, and as the passage says, teaches, rebukes when we need it, corrects, trains us in righteousness and equips for good works.

Let me challenge you this summer that if you do not already have a daily quiet time that you start one.  It takes a couple of months to start the habit and while things may slow down for you during the summer, this would be a perfect time to start one.
